The Oakland County ARPSC may be activated at any time by Oakland County Emergency Management. In some cases we may also be activated by the National Weather Service should conditions warrent.

Our most common activation has been Skywarn. These activations are typical during severe weather conditions. We communicate with our spotters on our 2 meter repeater, and with the National Weather Service on the MICON network (Typically on the MI5 DMR Network).
Other activations would include exercises, county events (i.e. Berkley Car Parade and the Woodward Dream Cruise), and any emergency that Oakland County Emergency Management feels the need for our group is needed.
