The Oakland County ARPSC may be activated at any time by the Oakland County Homeland Security Division. In some cases we may also be activated by the National Weather Service should conditions warrent.

Our most common activation has been Skywarn. These activations are typical during severe weather conditions. We communicate with our spotters on our 2 meter repeater, and with the National Weather Service on the MICON network (Typically on the MI5 DMR Network).
Other activations would include exercises, county events (i.e. Brooksie Way or the Woodward Dream Cruise), and any emergency that the Homeland Security Division feels the need for our group is needed.
