The Monthly ARPSC DMR Net
Information on the W8OAK DMR repeater, Including frequency, color code, slot and talkgroups is available on this web site under the Frequencies link in the menu at the left side of this page.
Why Call a DMR Net each Month?
This net is called to provide operators an opportunity to test their DMR capabilities, the programming of their equipment, and to get used to the sound of a digital system. The repeater is located in Pontiac and may be used should the ARPSC be activated in an emergency.
The DMR Net is primarily a check-in only net, however at the net control operator's discretion and time permitting, some announcements may be made. The net is limited to no more than 25 minutes to allow net participants time to switch to the W8OAK 2 meter repeater for the regular Thursday Night Net.
The Oakland County ARPSC also has a portable DMR repeater than may be used to provide communications support for an event or activation. The repeater may be programmed on-site if needed to avoid interfering with other repeaters in the area.
